CHRIS SUCHORSKY
Director, Editor, Producer

Last Weekend Productions was founded by Chris Suchorsky in the summer of 2000. That summer, he began filming his script EXECUTING LOVE. That film subsequently fell apart and would later become the award-winning documentary FAILURE.

In the spring of 2003, a rough cut of FAILURE was introduced to the world at the BACK EAST PICTURE SHOW in Hoboken, NJ. It would go on to win the award for “Best Documentary.” You probably don’t recognize that festival considering it only lasted two years. FAILURE would go to be accepted in a film festivals around the country including the 2004 PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL. Chris would later go on to describe FAILURE and it’s festival run as a “learning experience.”

In December 2004, FAILURE was reviewed by FilmThreat and received 4 stars. Writer Doug Brunell described the film as a “spectacular achievement.”

After FAILURE, Chris worked on multiple projects including the music video “Kiss Catastrophe” for EPIC Recording artist’s THE DAMNWELLS, completed the short film THE PARK, and worked on the History Channel’s series DEEP SEA DETECTIVES and WEIRD, US. Chris also kept up his duties as a Multimedia Artist for an Advertising Agency in Princeton, NJ.

In March of 2005, Chris began work on his first feature length documentary entitled GOLDEN DAYS. The film follows the ups and downs of a Brooklyn-based indie rock band over a 5 year period, as they go from struggling indie artists to major recording artists and back to struggling artists again.

In 2005, while filming GOLDEN DAYS, Chris’ first film FAILURE was acquired by IFC (Independent Film Channel). The deal was finalized after six months of paperwork, 247 hrs of sound editing, and a mild nervous break down. What did Chris learn from that experience? Get your film in order before you try and sell it.

Chris has recently completely work on GOLDEN DAYS and is hoping to premiere the film in early 2007.
